1. 魔獸世界是用哪個語言命名的

暴雪當初在開發這款游戲時，沒有放過任何一個細節，包括游戲里的語言，都請到了大批的語言學家和歷史學家，這些學者們甚至結合人類的語言歷史獨自創造出了一門語言，專門用作魔獸世界的語言。我們玩游戲時像獸族的語言就是太悶創造出來的。所以說，魔獸世界的確是一件藝術品。

魔獸世界用的BigWorld游戲引擎，主要還是C++吧。腳本語言是Lua。
大部分游戲對性能要求都挺高，目前大型游戲基本都是C++的。

魔獸的一些官方術語翻譯

AC - Armor Class or Defense.甲的等級或者防禦(感覺防禦應該是AD)

Add - An extra monster has joined an existing battle.額外的怪物加入已存在的戰斗

Alt - A character on your account other than your main character.帳號中的非主要角色(可以理解為小號)

AOE - Area of Effect Damage. This is a spell that hurts a group of monsters in an area like Blizzard in Warcraft III.破壞范圍(主要是法術的破壞范圍或輔助范圍)

AE - Area Effect影響范圍

AFK - Away from Keyboard. This means the player is away from his computer.玩家離開

Aggro - This means the monsters are mad at you and you've "activated" them to attack you. They are now in the motion of trying to reach and attack you. "The Murloc aggroed on me!" or "The Murlocs will aggro if you get too close"怪物已經瘋狂，正在逼近並主動攻擊角色

Aggro Radius - The radius around the monsters where they will "wake up" and attack you.是怪物的激怒范圍，只要玩家進入該范圍便會受到怪物攻擊。

Agi - Agility敏捷

Avatar - Your character玩家的角色

Bind - Determines where you will respawn when you have died. "To Bind" means to set your bind point.重生點，設置重生點

Buff - A beneficial spell cast on a monster or player. An example of a "buff" is the Priest's Inner Fire or Shaman's Bloodlust.施放到玩家角色或怪物的有益法術效果

Carebear - Player that prefers to help other players attack monsters rather than attack other players in player vs. player combat.玩家在pvp中幫助雙方攻擊怪物而不是攻擊某玩家

Caster - A character that stays on the back row to heal or cast spells on the enemy, such as a Mage.角色在隊伍後治療或者向敵人施放法術(象法師)

Cheese - To exploit an imbalance in the game.發掘游戲中的不平衡地方

Creep - Monster怪物

Critters - Monsters that don't attack back, like a bunny or deer.怪物不回擊(象兔子或鹿)

DD - Direct Damage. This is a spell that does all of its damage in one hit rather than spreading its damage over time.指的是造成直接傷害的攻擊魔法，傷害效果在瞬間發生。

DMG - Damage傷害

DOT - Damage over time指的是造成持續傷害的攻擊魔法，在一定時間范圍內，每隔固定時間產生一次傷害，簡單的說，類似傳統日式rpg里的中毒效果。

DPS - Damage per second每秒傷害

De-Buff - A negative spell cast on a unit that makes it less powerful. An example of a "de-buff" is Slow.對單位產生的降低能力的法術效果

FH - Full Health滿生命

FM - Full Mana滿魔力

GM - Game Master. Someone employed by Blizzard Entertainment to assist and help players.游戲中暴雪輔助玩家的管理者

Griefer - A person who purposely tries to annoy or anger other players.游戲中專門騷擾玩家的人

INT - Intelligence知識

Kiting - A style of combat in which a player continually stays out of combat range of an enemy usually by running from it, while simultaneously causing damage to it.一種打法，玩家不在戰斗范圍但能對目標產生傷害

KOS - Killed on Sight. If an Orc approaches a Human Guard, the Guard would try to kill on sight (aggro).怪物對玩家自動攻擊，參考Aggro Radius。

KS - Kill Steal. Try to steal another person's kill.偷殺(這個不怎麼明白)

LFG - Looking for a group.尋找群

Log - When you log off; disconnect from the game.退出遊戲

LOL - Lots of Laugh or Laughing Out Loud. This abbreviation indicates something is really funny. Unfortunately although very common, that term became uncool a long long long time ago. Other alternatives that you can use instead are "hehehehe" or "hahahaha" which aren't the best but are more hip. ROFL should also be avoided to appear cool.多次笑或多次大聲笑

LOM - Low on Mana.魔力低

Newbie - A term that sometimes means new player but also is used to mean a player is not very good.用來形容游戲中的新手，或者玩家不熟練

NPC - This is a non player-controlled character. The characters are controlled by the server or realm. A "computer" character.游戲中的電腦人物

OOM - Out of Mana. People say this to let their party know they are out of mana and can't cast any spells, especially healing.沒魔力了，無法施展法術

Pet - A NPC controlled by a player such as a Wolf, Infernal, and so on.玩家控制的NPC(我覺得例子就是雇傭兵)

POP - Often used shorted term for re-spawn of monsters.怪物重生的簡稱(刷怪)

PST - Please Send Tell. Indicates that the person speaking wants to receive communication via a /t(ell) or /w(hisper) command.說話的玩家請求指令對話(能說的清楚些)

Puller - Person who pulls monsters for the party.將怪物聚集起來的角色(引怪者)

Pulling - One of the players in a party heads out and leads one or more of the monsters back to the party so that they can attack them. The idea is to prevent too many monsters from attacking at once.引怪

PvE - Player Vs. Environment. Combat between players and computer controlled opponents.玩家對電腦對手

PvP - Player vs. Player. This means for one player to attack another player.玩家對玩家(意思等同PK)

通用語

通用語，作為聯盟的語言，它和部落的獸人語剛好相對。所有的聯盟角色都應當知曉通用語。

在所有文獻中（包括RPG，小說，漫畫以及早期的游戲），幾乎所有有智商的種族都會說通用語，而不是作為「人類」獨有的語言。已知通用語是許多種族的基礎語言。作為一種國際通用語，艾澤拉斯和德拉諾大陸上不少種族的絕大多數成員都在使用它，即便不是這樣，至少所有的種族都對通用語有一定的了解，並且會說通用語的某種方言。從通用語中延伸出來的方言包括：現代通用語（modern Common），不流利的通用語(Broken Common)，次等通用語(Undercommon)，下層通用語(Low Common)，貧民語(Gutterspeak)，魚人語(Nerglish)或是上古語(Ancient Tongue)。由於許多種族都會說通用語，那些以前從未蒙面過的種族也可以在初次見面的時候就運用通用語進行交流。其他的種族語言（獸人語，牛頭人語，侏儒語等）通常僅限於自己的種族之間的交流，但是那些經常會和這些種族交流或者是閱讀他們的文獻的人也會去學習這些語言。

Caer：可以被大致翻譯成城堡或是宮殿或者是堡壘，但是並沒有一個英語單詞能夠體現caer這一個詞的精髓。

Half-ogre半食人魔：一個獸人和食人魔的混血種族。（部落玩家指南156頁）

Rain Dance祈雨舞：通用語中的一個專業術語，說的是在黑海岸所舉行的一個節日。（精靈們另外有一個名字）（神秘之土11頁）

Worship（崇敬）：一個通用語詞彙，用來表示對聖靈或者是超自然之力的尊敬或是崇拜。（神秘之土143頁）

人類名字：
在人類小孩出生的時候，他們的父母會給他們起一個名字。他們的姓名都有著長久的歷史，並且通常會說明他們先祖的某些成就。一些人類為了凸顯自己的成績，特意改了自己的姓氏。
